Generosity is one of Alpha Phi's High Ideals of Membership.

Alpha Phi Foundation

Alpha Phi Foundation is the proud philanthropic partner of Alpha Phi International Fraternity, with a mission of advancing women’s lives through the power of philanthropy. In 1956, Alpha Phi was one of the first women’s fraternities to establish its own foundation. Women’s heart health, which had been a priority of Alpha Phi International since 1946, officially became the philanthropic priority of The Alpha Phi Foundation upon its founding. The Foundation's 100,000$ "Heart to Heart" grant is given annually to researchers with the aim of furthering the study of women's heart disease. The Foundation also proudly invests in leadership, scholarship, and emergency aid for its members.

Alpha Phi Foundation supports Alpha Phi Fraternity, our members, and the communities in which we reside in their pursuit of advancing women’s lives now and into the future.

The Kappa Zeta Chapter hosts multiple Philanthropy events per year in support of the Alpha Phi Foundation.

Alpha Phifa is a double-elimination style soccer tournament where we have teams compete for a donation to a philanthropic organization of their choice, play music and serve food!

We co-hosted our very first Mac 'n' Phis in 2019 with Phi Kappa Pi Fraternity where we served All You Can Eat mac and cheese (including bbq chicken mac and cheese and vegan pumpkin mac and cheese!) for only $7 per person!

Heart Health Week happens each year in February (American Heart Health Month) and involves various events throughout the week focused on raising awareness and money for women's heart health! Past events have included yoga, a heart healthy bake sale, ice skating, and donating blood.

Our philanthropy events will most likely look different this year due to COVID-19, but we are working hard to plan safe and fun events and we hope to see you there!

"We seek the highest ideal of womanhood, and we try to gain this ideal by cultivating not only the power and passion for seeking intellectual development but, also, the spirit of love and charity."

Community Service

Generosity represents one of Alpha Phi's four High Ideals of membership. As such, we provide our members with a variety of volunteer opportunities to give back in the Montreal community. The specific types of opportunities our chapter offers vary based upon the needs of the local community and the interests and passions of the chapter members. Recently, our chapters' service events have included organizing a holiday toy drive for the Montreal Children's Hospital, volunteering at Chez Doris, a PJ collection & fundraiser for the Old Brewery Mission, volunteering at MADA, making sandwiches for the homeless, and much more! We aim to offer our support to those in need and give back to the Montreal community throughout the year.

We are always looking for new ways to help the Montreal community. Please contact us if your organization would like to partner with us!
